St. Ermin's Hotel London Review
A review of St. Ermin's Hotel London, including the charming old-world feel, strong family-friendly location, suite booking with points and cash, and the one frustrating room-switch issue during our stay.

Booking and room feel
This was our second time staying at St. Ermin's. We booked a suite using points and cash, and the hotel remained as charming as we remembered. It is a Marriott property with a lot of character, and the fact that it used to be a spy hotel adds to the appeal.
The furnishings feel quite old, but in a good way. It has that classic London hotel atmosphere rather than a newly renovated luxury feel, which worked well for us.
Location and access
The location is one of the biggest reasons we would recommend it for families. It is very close to St. James's Park and the Tube station, and you can walk to a surprising number of major sights from the hotel without much effort.
What worked and what did not
The staff all around were amazing, which really matters in a hotel like this. We were less enthusiastic about the onsite restaurant, though the afternoon tea was decent.
The main issue during the stay was a flood in our bathroom, which forced us to switch rooms. Unfortunately, one of the Harry Potter wands went missing during the move. We did receive a partial refund, which we appreciated, but it was still a frustrating disruption.
Even with that issue, we would recommend St. Ermin's for families because the location, atmosphere, and overall service are strong.
