Il Tornabuoni Florence Hotel Review
A review of Il Tornabuoni in Florence, including the Hyatt points booking strategy, the spacious two-queen suite, and why the location made it one of the easiest city stays of the trip.

4 nights

Room and setup
We used Hyatt points for four nights, booking each night individually as award space opened up and then contacting the hotel ahead of arrival to link the reservations. We only had Explorist status, so breakfast was not included, but that was fine for this trip because we wanted to leave the hotel and eat around the city anyway.
The room was excellent. We had a two-queen-bed suite overlooking the main road outside the hotel, and there was a lot of space inside. Street performers would play outside, which gave the room a great sense of place rather than making it feel sealed off from the city.
The suite felt properly luxurious and easily accommodated our stay. This was one of those hotels where the room itself contributed to the trip rather than just serving as a place to sleep.
Location and access
The location is the biggest reason to recommend Il Tornabuoni so strongly. It is on one of the best streets in Florence, and over the course of the four-night, five-day stay we walked everywhere.
The only times we used cars were to get to and from the train station with all of our luggage. Beyond that, the hotel made Florence feel completely walkable, which is exactly what you want in a city like this.
Best part of the stay
The staff was great throughout the stay, and the whole hotel had the kind of polished, high-end feeling that makes it easy to recommend. We did not visit the rooftop, so that was not part of our experience, but honestly the room quality and location were already enough to make the stay stand out.
We cannot recommend this hotel enough. If you want a Florence hotel that feels luxurious, spacious, and perfectly placed for walking the city, this is a very strong option.
