Hilton Lake Como Hotel Review
A review of Hilton Lake Como as a family base, including the two-bedroom suite upgrade, excellent concierge help, beautiful pool, and the real tradeoffs around taxis, parking, and walkability.

Room and setup
We bought Hilton points to book a base room, then used cash to upgrade to a two-bedroom suite. That ended up being a very good move for this trip because the suite comfortably fit five adults and two kids, which is not easy to find in Lake Como without splitting into multiple rooms.
The room itself was spacious, well laid out, and genuinely pleasant to spend time in. We only had Hilton Gold status, but the hotel still gave us a very warm welcome, including prosecco waiting in the bathroom on arrival. It immediately felt like a hotel that knew how to treat guests well.
Location and access
The concierge was a real strength of the stay. The team gave us great tips, helped arrange transportation to Bellagio, and made several strong restaurant recommendations. That level of help mattered because the hotel is not especially walkable to much, and getting taxis in the area was harder than it should have been.
That is the main tradeoff with Hilton Lake Como. It works well as a base, but not as a place where you simply walk out the door into everything. If we were doing it again, I would strongly consider renting a car, though parking in the area is not great and the distances still feel longer than they look on a map.
Best part of the stay
The pool was the standout. The view of the mountains and lake was spectacular, and the kids loved it. The hotel grounds were also attractive and made the property feel like more than just a practical sleep base.
The one real weak spot was breakfast. Service was overwhelmed by the volume of hotel guests, and there were not enough staff to keep up. It took far too long to get attention and made the mornings feel more chaotic than they should have at this price point.
Even with that issue, we would stay here again. The suite worked well, the service outside breakfast was strong, and the concierge support helped make the stay much easier. Just go in knowing that the hotel is more useful as a base with arranged transport than as a fully walkable Como stay, and note that the pool unfortunately closed at 6 PM.
